Family day at AgMagic on the River is this Saturday from 10am - 2pm. It's free, educational, family friendly event!
Spanish mackerel in the ass was epic
This was a good documentary but, there was really no need for the overly dramatic music. Good lord.
George Bush was president at the time. No wonder the whole tragedy was handled so poorly! 😮
Thumbs up 👍
Hello from the state of Illinois
Not to be that guy but didn't the female trailers give many ppl cancer since the government cut corners
Maybe if yall pushed against the port that is going to completely mess up Da Parish. Where are they big rigs turning on Paris Rd Judge Perez or St Bernard Hwy? I am glad yall are promoting us, but really 99% of Da Parish is scared about the new Port messing up daily life and making horrible traffic and really screwed up roads. Guess if the State and the Parish Gov make money who cares about locals right.
I felt sorry for the person from the hurricane centre who had to call the Sheriff & tell him what they did, what a shitty thing to have to tell someone,no wonder they couldn't sleep. 😔🙏
When is the next one?
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 This is a dam joke. I am a proud descendant of the Proctors the people who founded Verrett. The Smiths are liars in the truth is not in them. Why do you think the church wasn’t ever torn down and rebuilt, because it would be given back to the people who gifted the land. RESEARCH PEOPLE
I subbed from Illinois
Hello! I’m a 6th grade science teacher and I’m creating a video for my class about Hurricane Katrina. May I use short clips from this video?
You’re all cowards, once what you did comes to the light, you will rue the day you shook hands with the devil !!
Heartbreaking and heartwarming. What a wonderful community ❤
Lies. Leaders failed and deaths happened. Yes, it was a horrible natural disaster but pee poor planning and politics killed many. The busses were available and had gas in them. They were told not to use them- there were many citizens that could have attempted to use them to try to get to safety
How did it come to be called Verrettville? I am a Verrett.
I know of a Marie Victoria Verrett form there back in late 1800's. she married into my family tree. You ask a really good question.
Ah yes, very accurate cannon
People go to jail for parking tickets
Remember everyone that goes to jail is not a bad person
May American be blessed again and again turn from there wicked ways, Amen and Amen Emmanuel Yeshua Yeweh
So sorry for your losses, may God bless America
What a beautiful white community
Why would anyone say "a beautiful white community" There were people of all colours, who were good people during this tragedy.
I lived in Waveland, Ms when Katrina hit MS . The next day was my birthday and my son turn 1 years old on sep 13 , it was a terrible my son was very sick no doctor no hospital and thanks to a volunteer nurse took my son to Liberty MS rescued us until my son get well and moved to Georgia. Appreciate what Noralyn Blalock and family did for us!!!!
Now this is a real community of good, hard-working, industrious Americans. You make us proud.
hmmm no foods from amazight ! ahh im surprised
That's pretty cool. Best of luck with it.
Saw this from the plane flying back from FLA. very impressive
Theres no place like Chalmette 😢
Safety. Our leadership needs to lay stricter safety. Cell phones are a tool used to instigate riots and other major safety issues.
I’m headed home in a few days to fish with my brother in Hopedale, St. Bernard Parish.
I was born and raised in st Bernard
There's no place like Chalmette ❤😢
Rocky and Carlos is the bomb. First time our friends who live there took us, we were hooked. That macaroni with red gravy blew our mind. The portions are huge! As for the war of 1812, you may want to research Jean Lafitte’s role in it. I believe it should be included.
Miss My people, love yall!!!!
Why this came up in my RUclips feed i don't know but im gald i was able to see this video. Very tastefully done in honor of very emotional moments.
Im from Arkansas and spent almost 3yrs in Louisiana helping with clean up, i lived on 23 south behind an elderly lady named miss Kay a then 90+ yo woman who was absolutely the nicest lady ive ever met, we worked in St bernard parish on the levees and with local cleanup, ive got to say as nice as the people were i still call La my second home, i hauled seafood for yrs b4 katrina so i didnt have to think twice about basically moving i got to st bernard parish right after the water had dropped and was amazed to see the water level lines at roof level,, so was interesting to see what it looked like b4 hand, i hope u all in the parish are recovered ur lifes as best u can,, ✌❤
I'm very proud of our ancestors! I'm a Picquet,Encalade and Merricks.
The unveiling of the marker is at 20:55.
I begged my parents to leave but they wanted to stay. I told them they would be swimming, but they refused. I stayed with them at chalmette high and went to rescue my neighbor and saw many dead bodies floating. I was in a 10’flatboat with a friend and fence boards as paddles. We got my neighbor though. Sad days.
We lived in jackson ms at the time and we felt it that far away. We sat glued to the TV watching this devastation. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I’m so sad for all the loss. This is a great documentary. I don’t think I knew all of this.
St bernard is a special place bc of the wonderful people. ❤❤❤
Thank you for the history lesson!
The Mothers ring story got me 🥲🥲🥲 God is soooo good amen 🙏🏾
My beloved hometown I pray thry never see this again.
Greetings from Gran Canaria.
I guess I'm a "conspiracy theorist", but I think they intentionally blew up the levees 🤷🏻♀️
Why would you think that let alone say it? Seriously to what purpose would that serve. That way of thinking is an insult to everyone who suffered this tragic event.😢
And who are they and for what purpose? I've never heard anything so ridiculous 😢
That damn eye just exploded
I met Kelly Phillips yesterday.. in Slidell, La.. he was lying on the ground in front of Lowe’s parking lot. I seriously thought he was dead so I got out to see if he was OK. Poor thing was sleeping .. and I thought he was dead. He told me his story and he showed me the RUclips video. I think it is so amazing that he is still living after his hospice care. Years ago…God has been good to him. He is still alive but unfortunately, he is one of the many numbers of homeless people, it’s so sad that his boat is now parked in a shipyard in Pass Christian. Ms…while he is living in a tent… I hope that we will do our part when we see the homeless people to help them
